The Sabbath day is on Saturday; the Seventh Day of the week. According to Mathew 28:1, and Mark 16:1, it is clearly stated that Yahshua resurrected after the Sabbath was over, as the first day of the week (Sunday) was dawning. Mary Magdalene and the other women were waiting for the end of Sabbath with great anticipation so that they could go and anoint the body of Yahshua. They could not have visited the tomb on the Sabbath day because it is a day of solemn rest (Exodus 20:8).
NO. The bible tells us that the law of God is perfect (Psalms 19:7). Also, note that Yahshua did not come to eradicate the law and the prophets, but instead, to see to it that these words (Torah) were fulfilled (Mathew 5:17). In addition, Luke 16:18 brings more clarity to this issue “And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one dot of the law to fail.”
NO. Yahshua was very clear with regard to this question. In Mathew 19:3-6, he explained to the Pharisees that from the beginning, God intended marriage institution to be a monogamous set up. In this union, the man and the woman are no longer two, but have become one flesh.
NO. The bible explains in Luke 16:18 that whoever leaves his wife and marries another, commits adultery with her. Also, any man who marries the divorced wife also commits adultery with her in the eyes of God. Apostle Paul also clarifies in Romans 7:1 that married people are bound to each other till death puts them apart.
Not all types of animals can be eaten by saints. Apostle Paul highlighted in 1Timothy 4:5 that whatever can be eaten has to be consecrated by the word of God (Torah) and by prayer. These two qualifications must be met before feeding on any flesh. That is why the word of God in Leviticus 11:1 explains on the clean and unclean animals.
The bible explicitly forbids all acts of drunkenness (1 Cor. 6:9-10) “Know you not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? … nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, not extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God”
Some preachers from different parts of the world have been heard and seen teaching their followers that they know the exact time when Yahshua will come again. Some have even managed to convince their followers to sell all their belongings so that they can prepare for the day of the Lord. Such teachings are not scripturally based because according to Mathew 24:36, Yahshua made it clear that no one knows the day or the hour that the son of God will be revealed, not even the angels, only God the Father knows.
Although no one knows the day or the hour, the bible cautions us not to be caught unawares by the second coming of Yahshua. In the 24th chapter of Mathew, we learn that there will be signs that will act as a premonition to his second coming. Also apostle Paul further clarified that the second coming of Yahshua will not be witnessed until the man of lawlessness, who is also called the son of perdition is revealed so that the whole world knows him (2 Thessalonians 2:2). The man of lawlessness is currently not yet revealed but he will be exposed so that he can make war against the saints of the Most High during the tribulation (Revelation 13:7).
Messiah Yahshua will return to the earth and fight in the battle of Armageddon as explained in Zechariah chapter 14. His coming will bring peace to the earth, and He will rule the world from Jerusalem (from the throne of his father, David) during the 1,000 years of restoration also called the Millennium (Rev. 20:4-6, and Luke 1:32).
The bible talks about plagues that will be cast on the earth during the last days. It is worth to note they will be literal plagues that God will send to the people of the world because of their disobedience (Revelation 16). Elohim will be extending His wrath upon every man who worships the beast and its image (Revelation 14:9).
The right candidate for baptism is a person who has repented his sins. Note that the state of repentance comes after a person hears the word of God and believes in it as recorded in Romans 10:17. There is hardly any baptism without repentance. In Acts 2:38, as Peter addressed the masses on the day of Pentecost, the peoples’ hearts were pricked after they heard and believed in the word of God. Following the strong conviction, they felt the need to accept Yahshua, get baptized so as to leave their sinful ways and start living a life of righteousness.
