Hundreds of church members and friends joined the family of late Elder Wahome Mwangi in a funeral service at his home in Githiga, Murang'a county. The ceremony was presided by the General overseer, Pastor Kuria Karanja and drew other church leaders including pastors, elders and believers from various parts of the country.

The late elder had been ill for a while and was hospitalized at Nairobi West Hospital but succumbed to death while still undergoing treatment. Some people have funerals, but others have celebrations. The 61 year old servant of God gave us a lot to celebrate. As many people can attest, the late elder was a one of the most cheerful, faithful and humble leader of our time. Before his departure, Elder Wanjora (as he was commonly referred to) was serving as the elder at the church headquarters in Eastleigh section 3, Nairobi. "He always ensured that bible tracts, bible lessons, bible calendars among other literature were produced in time", said one of the members at the Nairobi church. He left us with enough good memories to cherish. May his soul rest in peace as we wait the resurrection of the just at the second coming of our savior Yahshua.

"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?" 1Corinthians 15:54
