But for Rose Kihoro, I was not prepared to let her go...We spoke a few days before she passed away. She sounded optimistic as always, strong.

The words of Revelation 14 give me hope. That, blessed are those who die in the Lord.

But for Rose Kihoro, I was not prepared to let her go...We spoke a few days before she passed away. She sounded optimistic as always, strong. She was fighting a dreaded disease with courage. But in the end our Almighty made the final decision.

With a humble heart we can only accept the will of Hashem, Elohim whom Rose believed in. We shall give Him glory, for the time He gave us to live and to know such a wonderful person.

She was one of the pioneer members of the media team at our Nairobi COG headquarters. She was a leader in charge of Finance and fundraising. I had great joy working with her. She was relentless, always smiling and present. Great ideas and a motivator. Our online evangelism attest to that. She gave us great company and engagement in our evening meetings as we discussed online evangelism and how she will collect funds to help us do the job.

Though I have been away for a couple of years, I follow her work in the media team. I mourn with the media team, family (Brother Roba and the Children), and the whole Church of God 7th Day in Kenya.

Let us learn from her example and work even harder now, remembering these words;

“I am crucified with Messiah: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Messiah liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

RIP Rose
