A question we are likely to ask ourselves as time goes by, as we grow older. As we try to establish our purpose in this life. What will you look back and say gave you the greatest fulfillment?

What have you done lately that has given you great fulfillment?

How nice it is to look back and say “I was part of a national evangelical outreach. I went to spread the word of God.” When all is said and done we come into this world with nothing and leave with nothing. Your impact on the lives you touched will however, live on.
This is what Church of God Seventh day (COGMERS) aimed to do in Meru town on 24 th August 2017 to 27 th August 2017.Touch lives, spread the word of God. It was great joy travelling through several counties from Nairobi to Meru town to do the will and the instructions of God to us, to spread the gospel.
Just as the bible states, faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God. Therefore as believers it’s our responsibility to spread God’s word to every tribe, nation and tongue. So COGMERS members from all over Kenya travelled to Meru, both young and old, simply to spread the word of God an average of 271.49 km, driving distance from Nairobi to Meru.
It was a great purpose and a calling as brethren poured into Meru in large numbers, approximately 800 members, led by Overseer Kuria Karanja.
It was song and dance as we spread the gospel.
The outreach began in earnest.
Different topics were covered by different Evangelists.
Different choirs from different branches of the church made their presentations.
Different instruments played to praise God.
As brethren and Meru town, listened keenly.
The word of God was heard loud and clear and people were also baptized. 1 peter 3:21.And the water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Yahshua Messiah.
The town of Meru will always live to remember. People of Meru were also given directions to the Meru branch Church located at D.E.B primary school. As I watched people going back to their homes joyful and rejuvenated I knew then what I know now, spreading the word of God, fulfilling God’s command gave us purpose and fulfillment. Knowing that you touched someone’s life, led them to God; storing treasure in heaven.
Like Martin Luther said, if he has faith, the believer cannot be restrained. He betrays himself. He breaks out. He confesses and teaches his gospel to the people at the risk of life itself.
Now tell me, what have you done lately that has given you great fulfillment?
