I salute you in the name of Yahshua, our soon coming king, SHALOM!
Today is a special day- The HIGH DAY SABBATH of the feast of the unleavened bread. Am grateful to Elohim for the chance He has given us to present ourselves before him on this day.
Also, I would like to appreciate every one of you gathered here. You have spared your time and used your resources to camp here for eight days in total obedience to the word of God. You will surely receive your divine blessing because Elohim who is enthroned in heaven is impartial, and is pleased by those who diligently seek him and obey him.
We are all gathered here, the young the old to celebrate the ordained feast of the unleavened bread and present ourselves before Elohim. The number of people gathered here today is nearly 1000 including young children. Am happy to see us embracing this provision with joy and cheer, knowing that we have been given a golden chance to prove ourselves as responsible people, approved workers in the vineyard of our Lord Yahshua.
I would like to call upon every one of us to be proud in keeping the feasts. Feast observance is one of the core beliefs of the true faith practiced by those that truly believe in Elohim, who obey his holy scriptures to the latter. Also, remember that you are not alone, because feast observance is a global phenomenon. There are millions of Jews and messianic believers from all parts of the world that are diligently keeping the feasts of the Lord as commanded in the scriptures. Therefore I will encourage you to continue keeping and proclaiming them at their appointed times. We read in the scriptures that in the beginning, Elohim spoke to Moses saying, “Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts” (Leviticus 23:2). As you can see, we find Elohim owning these feasts by saying “even these are my feasts”. We have therefore come here to meet with Elohim at his appointed time. Pesach and the feast of unleavened bread is one among other appointed feasts which will come as the year progresses. Now that we have started the biblical year with Elohim, let us continue to walk in the divine plan of salvation that He has laid out, and hidden it in the feasts.
We’ve had an amazing experience during the 8 days that we have been here and we are grateful to Elohim for that. We are grateful for the teachers who have been very ready to teach us various doctrinal lessons. I believe you have greatly benefited from these teachings, which will enable you to be well grounded in your faith in Yahshua. I have received similar success reports from other feast centers across the country (i.e Gatero, Murang’a, Mombasa, Lamu, Mois Bridge, Chuka among others) and beyond the borders, particularly in Malawi. As you all know, Malawi church has been growing steadily and strongly. There are currently two feast centers there and this time round they recorded the highest turn up with one center having around 100 people. Pastor Gaturu and Elder Chang’andu have been with them during the feast and we will later on join them after the feast for ordination ceremony. Let us continue to support this work financially and also through our prayers.
I cannot overlook some of the challenges we’ve experienced while here. However, these challenges are only stepping stones to greater things in future. I therefore urge you to carry the good things you have seen here and if there was any weakness, pray for us so that we may not have it next time.
In a couple of hours, we will all be back to our villages. I encourage you to not only carry with you the good things and teachings that you have received while here, but also to practice them. Be good ambassadors of Yahshua so that even the non-believers will acknowledge that something good has happened to you after you attended the feast! We are the light and salt of the world, let us retain that honor given to us by our heavenly father.
I will encourage you to respect the leaders that serve you in your villages. The bible encourages us to honor them because of their work in the Lord. You wouldn’t be where you are if it were not for their dedication in service. Whether they are serving in the office of a deacon, church elder or as a pastor, give them their due respect. “Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work”1 Thessalonians 5:12
May the God of peace be with you and keep you. May He strengthen your spirits and keep your bodies blameless, ready for coming of our Lord Yahshua Messiah.
May the Lord bless you and keep you
May the Lord make his face shine upon you
And be gracious to you>
May the Lord turn his face towards you
And give you peace! AMEN
