My hero is Moses the Hebrew educated in Egypt who forged a nation out of slaves and gave them a constitution in stone.

My hero is Moses the Hebrew educated in Egypt who forged a nation out of slaves and gave them a constitution in stone. That remarkable prophet and statesman also compiled five best sellers: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and some say, parts of Deuteronomy. Moses is the greatest writer ever and is revered by three major world religions. Muslims, Christians and Judaism concur that God Almighty talked to him one on one -mano a mano, a feat no other prophet is credited with. One of the reasons I hope to enter the golden gates of the New Jerusalem after judgment is to meet Moses and hopefully shake his hallowed hand.

With his blessed hand he wrote Genesis, a story of the beginning of everything to the death of Joseph, the precocious son of a Hebrew nomad. Joseph's rise to become the grand vizier Egypt of the Pharaohs is like the fairy tale of the son of a Kenyan becoming president of the U.S.A, the most powerful military statesman in history. Let's talk about dream interpretation: In ancient Egypt dreams are not what we know them to be. Dreams were people's fears and challenges expressed as riddles. A class of wise men existed who could solve these riddles, these professional dream interpreters and were greatly revered. The king's dream was a well known riddle, all dream interpreters knew what the seven fat cows and seven thin cows represented .What the king really wanted was a solution - how to stop the thin cows from eating the fat cows.

Joseph gave the best presentation of that solution and got the job of implementing his proposal. It wasn't a fluke; Joseph had earlier on accurately interpreted the royal butler and baker's dreams. The practice of professional dream interpretation was the reserve of a few and Joseph went beyond interpretation - he gave interventions. By accurately accessing the general macro environment and by examining the circumstances and personality of an individual, he could give a fairly accurate turn of events and propose that interventions were required. God put Joseph in jail because that's where real education is. God did not reveal the dreams to Joseph in his sleep rather he blessed Joseph with three things: brains, education and opportunity.

Education is not limited to the learning activities in the classroom, lecture rooms or in laboratories it also includes the challenges believers face - it is God's way of preparing us so that we may be able realize his divine purpose for our lives. Next time you face challenges in your walk of faith just assume it is just another lesson like double physics in a hot afternoon. To my fellow messianic Jews around the world - there are only two critical factors of production that really matter; these are Elohim and education. In addition to this, a pinch of patience can be an asset.
