Tons of people visit Kenya annually with varied touring intentions; some prefer touring the parks, others the coast and others get content after exploring her fantastic landscapes. However, with all these attractions, a visit will be incomplete for saints touring Kenya who fail to stop by the Church of God headquarters in Nairobi. The premise harbors tons of memories dating back from the time Kenya witnessed the church’s entry into the country's capital. Since then, not much infrastructural development has been witnessed other than a languid erection of a few structures such as offices and lavatories.
Nonetheless, cogmers have something to celebrate this year after the development committee unveiled a development plan to expand the church, thanks to Elder Nyaga Wachira and Deacon Muchiri who are spearheading the project. The expansion has now become inevitable due to the steady increase of the number of believers especially within Nairobi.
"It has become a priority to expand this church because our current church can no longer shelter the huge number of believers." said the Overseer, Pastor Karanja, as he laid a stone on the ongoing structure.
He further congratulated the National Evangelism Committee acknowledging its unwavering efforts in spreading the gospel as witnessed by the increasing number of believers.
"This is a crystal indication that we are in the end times and Elohim is saving His own." he added.
It is interesting to see what was initially considered a big church gradually being swallowed by the upcoming structure. The compound has now become a beehive of events with a myriad of activities keeping the constructors on their toes. Elder Nyaga frequents the site to ascertain that all is progressing as planned.
"So far so good; we are headed in the right direction! Everyone is up to the task and we are optimistic that by Passover, we will have finished everything." he reported to the media department which has also been closely following the events.
